2005 - A lesson teaching year.

Bad experiences, good experiences, great expectations, total failures, small satisfaction, long lasting thirsts, exciting moments, unforgettable waves, . . . all were randomized in this year 2005.

My heart experienced 0 to 100 beats randomly. I really say it is an unfavorable year. Or it may be like this: I had expectations, But it happened as it was.

During the earlier days of the year, I remember that I worked hard only during some days. I didn't know that all the work would go to bin. I gradually stopped working. I felt myself that I was weak at many times.

Mid of the year gave me very very bad experiences. Many times I noted that my hands were shivering. That time, I wished to go out of every thing. May be to Himalayas. Or may be to somewhere apart that. I was feeling those days may be the ends.

I wasn't get released from all such till now. I know that. But, I dont remember that.

Time gave me titles like 'Sir' and 'S/w Enginner'. I dont understand the terms that they meant for.

If I could describe my behaviour during these age, I would say that I was a rebel through out the year.

But, no big things the rebellion achieved except the mental torture.

This year too seems the same. I am not sure of anything.

What is the theme of next year? --

Yes, "The rebellion".

Be what you want to be;

"Be what you want to be;
Do what you want to do;
You have life, thats once;
Dont know its length.
So, be what you want to be."

Now a days I believe a lot in it.

Intel Pentium (M) Processor Vs. Centrino

I googled this thread, seems useful. These links are pretty useful.

http://groups.google.co.in/group/comp.sys.laptops/browse_thread/thread/3b6b0033f7c0a046/8963b135bcfee3a6?lnk=st&q=intel+(M)+processor+Vs+centrino&rnum=1&hl=en#8963b135bcfee3a6

http://www.intel.com/products/processor/pentiumm/index.htm

=========================

Before I go any further in my search for a new laptop (see below "is this too much to ask for"). I would like to ask: 1) Is the Intel Mobile Pentium-M the same processor as in the Intel Centrino package?

Centrino laptops are Pentium-M powered.

Just not with the wireless capabilities of the Centrino?

Correct. Centrino is a Pentium-M with "approved" wifi adapter.

My concern, will I get the same battery power from Mobile Pentium-M as I do with the Centrino?

A Centrino is not a processor. It is a Pentium-M with a Intel PRO/Wireless adapter on the i855 chipset. So yes, you will get the same battery life from a Pentium-M as you would from a Pentium-M. 2)

Also I sometimes see stuff like this: Intel Pentium M Processor 755. What's the deal with the 755?

And then they say it's eqivalent to a 2 GHz Processor. Intel has finally gotten away from the processor speed rating. With technological advances, slower (clock speed) processors can now handily ouperform their faster "competition". The 755 is not equivalent to, but is a 2GHz processor. It will handily outperform a P4 2GHz though most of the time. Think of it like your car. You can turn your engine at 3000RPM in 3rd gear and not go as fast and get worse mileage than you would in 4th gear. The engine works just as hard, but doesn't get the same amount of work done per revolution in the end.

The War - (19th Dec2005 - 20 th Dec 2005)

I am not telling about a very old age story. All I am telling about is a a mini war lasted between me and Sun App server 1.4 . As I have very strong beliefs in Head First series, I tried the first example given in Head First EJB.

The authors recommended to use 1.3 version of j2eesdk. As I am an usual face to 1.4 java family and thier cousins, I downloaded j2eesdk 1.4 with long effort.

When, I was trying to execute that EJB example, that Sun App server gave a me a big slap... . It said that the reason was it was not able to get some thing. It was still angry with me. So, I left for yesterday.

At to morning I went to meet google directly, and reported him the fight between me and Sun server. Google pacified me,

"Easy lad; I will send some black-belts with you to meet that Sun server guy".

But, that ruthless Sun server killed all the belted-guys one by one!! I was the single to escape!

Then, I was walking along www to find anyone, who can defeat that Sun server. All the way on the road, people said that he was fat-old guy and no body knews the tactics to defeat him.

Hmm... Atlast google came that side. He saw me was sitting life-less. He came to me and said, it was still possible. He got me up and took me into deep searching.

We have long preparations to make for the big war tomorrow.

See you tomorrow.

java -XX:+PrintGCDetails -verbose:gc hello

I am trying out all the possible command line options with javac, java, jdb, javap and other interesting tools.
It seems really interesting to unleash some thing, that we rarely use, or never use!

We all end up dead; it's just a question of how and why.

(The out-standing dialouge from braveheart. I like it much and like pasting it.)

Robert: Wait! I respect what you said, but remember that these menhave lands and castles. It's much to risk.

William: And the common man who bleeds on the battlefield, does herisk less?

Robert: No, but from top to bottom this country has no sense of itself. Its nobles share allegiance with England. Its clans war with eachother. If you make enemies on both sides of the border, you'll end updead.

William: We all end up dead; it's just a question of how and why.

Robert: I'm not a coward. I want what you want, but we need thenobles.

William: We need them?

Robert: Aye.

William: Nobles. Now tell me, what does that mean to be noble?Your title gives you claim to the throne of our country, but mendon't follow titles, they follow courage. Now our people know you.Noble, and common, they respect you. And if you would just leadthem to freedom, they'd follow you. And so would I.
