புதிய அதிகாரம்

New Chapter

[This is my 250th post in this blog! :-)]

I’ve made lots of correction in attitude, life-style and my day-to-day doings, since the last one or two months. Definitely, it’s a right break to write about those defining moments.

I was very much careful about the life style, I never wanted to live.

To be specific, this is the lifestyle, I never want to…
( PS: I observed these behaviors from many people, and am not trying to finger point anyone.)

1. Don’t want to get locked in a selfish family man life.
2. Don’t want to put money in LIC, National Saving, blah… blah… and discuss about Tax-Saving round the clock.
3. Don’t want to live a traditional life, just like, every one has a dream to buy a flat/car using all his earning, and settle down.
4. Don’t want to mock US lifestyle and try to act like a decent, cool guy all the time!
5. Don’t want to claim myself that I am different, by doing all the nonsense, silly, idiotic things!!!
6. Don’t want to loose the life in a daily rush..

Rather I like to live this….

[I am not listing the points as I am practicing them one by one, better will update them as it happens one after one]

These are the big highlights in the last one to two months:
(I’m just quoting Bharahi’s 'Puthiya Authisudi' for the highlights)

அச்சம் தவிர்.

Yep, I have been doing this aggerssively since last 6 month, that helped me to break unimaginable barriers one by one!

55 நினைப்பது முடியும்.

Yes, yes! But it takes enough time and gives lots of pain!

சில நேரங்களில், சில ஆசைகள்.

Since, being away from TN, I couldn’t watch many Tamil films from my ‘wish-list’. ‘Pachai kili Muthucharam’ – was expecting this film as it is an ‘Yet Another’ Gowtham’s film. Now, it is on the move in screen. But, couldn’t be able to watch it. Seen the trailer, and it stimulated my eager towards the moive!

‘Veiyil’ – I tried many times, but didn’t get a chance to watch it. Not even able to download the song. Have seen few scenes from that film on TV. Will give more try to see it :-)

‘Periyar’ – Much eager to see this at least. I wish I shouldn’t miss it. The stills look classical. It could be a milestone in tamil classical movie list.

And for no reason, I will miss to this ... :-)

இந்தியர் என்பதில் பெருமிதம் கொள்வோம்...

My friends used to say this, 'one cannot grow big, make money/become rich in this india... thats the reason why we like to fly oversees (especially they pointed out US, UK, and Emirates) and make the fortunes.. we don't see this country growing.. because of so many issues/dormancies in economy, politics etc..!'

Even, I too had such a bad impression about this country in my earlier ages. But, looking at what India has turned to be, from the darken days, I am very much proud to live in this age, in this country. India is not just a growing country. It is a fast growing country.Very very fast.

One should see it's growth and history from all the possible angles. Leave the hurdles and threats aside. See, the country has got up like anything now. 'Money flow/Economy' is not the only measure to scale the country's progress. Even if you say it is, then the country has done that too, much better.

One should not simply blame that he is unable to grow big in wealth by being here. See, how other legends have grown from their feet. What kind of attitude, dedication, energy they had put in this country.

All you wanted is a good paying job. This country offers you that too!

I trust this country. I have faith in India & myself. Rather, very lucky, to live here in this age.

These two lines were printed there at all my school text book's back cover. I used to read them loudly in childhood:

"இந்தியர் என்பதில் பெருமிதம் கொள்வோம் -இணைந்தே
இன்னும் பல சாதனைகள் புரிவோம்!".

No 'U' turns allowed

No ‘U’ turns allowed.

“No ‘U’ turns allowed”. This warning message board found on the roadway stirred up many things in mind. I was completely upset with a kind of saturation in every direction of life. Life was likely to take an ‘U’ turn some days ago! J Means, ‘Its enough. What is to be done any more?!’ was the waving question in mind. I did not realize that I had not even started living the life. There are billion things to be done at my side and for others. I had it in mind. But, so far, nothing came out. Ok, I will not blame anything/anyone.

I would have defined some scale/measurement/index to see the progress. I need to, seriously. I had done it offline. And had set some exciting targets J. Nowadays it is good that, I keep my promises and words at any cost. At the least, I suffer my best to finish it off.

This year beginning was not that favorable. I met with lots of eye-openers (in my language, eye-openers=mistakes). Later, situation is picking up. I will keep it under full control. I will keep it out of any slippages.

Now the U – turn mindset gone away. Now, “1000 Miles Ahead’.

Guru

I stopped watching Tamil films for a while. It should be less than 5 or 4, I had seen, from the last 5 years. Because, we seriously fed up with all these nonsense masala stuffs that easily dull us.

Guru

I saw this movie’s Hindi Trailer few months back. First time, I worried for not knowing Hindi! :-) This is the kind of film, I always thirst to see. Luckily, it was dubbed in Tamil too. However, Maniratnam refuses that the story is not about ‘Thirubai Ambani’, I am sure it is about him only. Mani has customized Ambani’s story in line with his imagination. The story starts from 1950 and spans across next fifty years. In a single sentence, the story is “(guru) VILLAGER (becomes) VISIONARY (becomes) WINNER”. As the story begins some 50 years back, they had done lots of work in lightings and sets, it seems!

Guru leaves his village, and reaches Bombay for setting up his business. We could see how Bombay stock market was in early 50s in this film. They use chalk-piece and blackboards to list the share prices in those days! Guru suffers to become a trader among them; he becomes and then grows like Giant. Madhavan, a reporter, casually comes into scenes, and strip-nakes Guru’s other face – that is, all the unethical short-cuts Guru used in his business. Aiswaryarai’s character – one should have a life-partner like her in life! It was that much touching.

Abishek Bachan – the tall guy in safari, resembles the one who was really meant in the film :-) Mani has sculpted him as what he imagined.

Mani has written dialogues in his own way. Every character drops words, not actually speaks! J I liked every frame – it was that colorful. I was keenly looking at every character, what they speak out, because one can hear such touching dialogues in his film only.

I really wonder how Guru could justify his deeds in the Climax. When there are people who came up in ethical ways, how could he justify his unethical behaviors? Anyway, this is cinema and Guru is hero!

After a quite big gap, I am very much satisfied of seeing a ‘Tamil Film’.
